Brandwatch Joins Cision in $450 Million Acquisition

Cision announced that it has agreed to acquire Brandwatch for $450 million. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter.

Launched in 2007, Brandwatch merged with Crimson Hexagon in 2018. It previously acquired PeerIndex (2014), BuzzSumo (2017) and Qriously (2019). Cision is the top acquirer in SMA, from Visible Technologies in 2014 to Unmetric in 2019.
