Verint Pays $514 Million for KANA

Verint (NASDAQ: VRNT) announced that it has agreed to acquire KANA in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $514 million.

KANA is a customer-service software specialist whose 2011 acquisition of Overtone (previously Island Data) gave it a social media analysis capability. Verint is an enterprise intelligence software provider that introduced a voice of the customer product with social media and text mining features in 2011.
