MIcrosoft Acquires Parature for Customer Self-Service

Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire Parature to gain customer self-service capabilities for Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, although news reports are placing its value at $100 million.

Parature offers cloud-based customer engagement software that includes social media monitoring and response tools for customer service. Microsoft previously gained an SMA capability for Dynamics CRM with its 2013 acquisition of Netbreeze.
