Poptip Joins Palantir
Poptip 
announced that it has been acquired by Palantir, the developer of high-end intelligence platforms with an emphasis on government and financial markets. In a post on the company blog, Poptip founder Kelsey Falter describes plans to continue building data analysis products for the commercial sector but doesn't mention Poptip's existing products for social surveys and social media analysis.
Poptip was the first of two acquisitions this week for Palantir, which also acquired Propeller, which built tools for mobile app developers. The Propeller site has been replaced with an announcement of the acquisition.
