GumGum announced that it has received $26 million in Series C financing led by Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital. Existing investors including NEA, Upfront Ventures and First Round Capital also participated in the round. The company plans to use the money to support international expansion, research and product development.
Expanding from its in-image advertising business, GumGum is applying its core image-recognition technology in the recently revealed Mantii social media analysis platform.
