Spredfast Acquires Shoutlet

Spredfast  announced it has acquired Shoutlet  to combine the companies' strengths in the social media software market. Spredfast says the companies share complementary product portfolios and an open, integrated approach to their software, and the combination expands customers' opportunities for integration across specialized marketing platforms.

Spredfast plans to retain Shoutlet's Wisconson headquarters and staff as a new development center.

Computerlogy Joins YDM Group

Yello Digital Marketing (YDM) announced that it has acquired a majority stake in Computerlogy  to add social media technologies to its network of marketing product and service companies. The Seoul-based YDM is an ambitious, fast-growing digital marketing group with operations in multiple Asian markets.

The companies expect to expand the Computerlogy product suite from social media management, listening and analytics into paid social, while growing its market reach beyond Thailand through the YDM network. The companies also plan to create a joint research and development center for new products. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Ditto Labs  announced that it has received $4 million in new funding from a group of investors that include Stage 1 Ventures, MDC Partners, Wavemaker Partners and The Whittemore Collection. The company says the investment will support the introduction of thousands of object and scene classifiers for its image-recognition platform.
