AlchemyVision Adds Facial Detection, Recognition
AlchemyAPI 
announced the addition of a Face Detection and Recognition API to its AlchemyVision product line. Given an image file or URL, the API returns the position, age, and gender of the detected face. The system can also identify well-known people by name and provide other details; AlchemyAPI says the system can recognize 60,000 different named individuals.
AlchemyVision was announced initially in May.
