Sprinklr Acquires Dachis Group

Sprinklr announced that it has acquired Dachis Group . Sprinklr plans to integrate the Dachis Group product portfolio within three months, which it expects to advance its roadmap by 12 months.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Brand Embassy announced that it has received $1 million in seed funding from Rockaway Capital and Spread Capital. The company also says it has opened offices in the U.S., Dubai, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, and Latin America, adding to its existing locations in Prague and London.

Expert System IPO Brings $27 Million

Expert System (BIT:EXSY) announced that its initial public offering in Borsa Italiana's AIM Italia market has raised over $27 million. The company plans to increase its investment in the U.S. market with additional staff and an office in San Francisco.

Expert System is a semantic technology company that supports social media analysis capabilities with its Cogito product portfolio.

Want to Write for SMA?

Early responses to the reader survey are clear: people liked the idea of adding more content to the site. I have some ideas of things to add, but I'll need help. How would you like to write a regular feature on SMA?

I'm thinking along the lines of a regular post—probably monthly, similar to a themed column in other publications. I tested these themes in the survey, and all had some support (if you have a different opinion, it's not too late to respond to the survey).

Socialbakers announced that it has received $26 million in a series C investment to support continued product development and international expansion. The round was led by Index Ventures, with existing investor Earlybird participating.

Little Bird announced that it has received $1.7 million in a seed-round investment led by the Oregon Angel Fund. The company also announced the addition of Michael Jones as CTO and Ben Kaufman as COO.

Trendspottr launched Signal, a social media analysis and engagement platform. Signal is priced at $199 per month after a 14-day free trial period.

Market Force introduced SocialForce, a social media monitoring and engagement platform for multi-location businesses. The new tool joins the company's existing portfolio of customer intelligence products and services, which include providing customer feedback research, mystery shopping services, and advanced marketing analytics.

SocialForce is offered as a standalone data source or incorporated into the company's KnowledgeForce platform.

CalmSea Acquired by Coupang

CalmSea announced that it was acquired by Coupang, the fast-growing e-commerce company in South Korea, in November 2013. CalmSea combines user-level social media data with web-analytics and transaction data to create individual customer profiles for targeted marketing and market research.

TrackMaven announced that it has received $6.5 million in its Series A round, led by New Enterprise Associates. Existing investors, including Bowery Capital and Acceleprise Ventures, also participated.

Integritie released SMC4 Observer, a social media monitoring and management platform for schools and police agencies that focuses on identifying threats from bullying, self harm or violence. A free trial is available.
