What's New in the Directory of Social Media Analysis Companies

The company directory at Social Media Analysis is the most complete reference to the technology companies that work with social media data. Since its launch in November 2011, this global industry resource has grown from 293 to 413 entries, with a company profile, social network links, and a news archive for each company. For 2013, the directory is being updated with new features to make it even more useful:
- Industry intelligence feed
SMA's news section covers company announcements, product updates, research, and events, but additions to the directory have hidden in the background. A new directory update feed promotes industry awareness with current information on additions and updates in the directory.
- More social network links
Profiles in SMA's directory have always included links to the companies' Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn pages. Now, the entries also include links to their Google+ and SlideShare pages.
- More descriptions
Every company in the directory is offered the opportunity to write their own "in their own words" company description, but some didn't respond to the invitation. As each entry is updated with the new social network links, missing descriptions are being filled in from other sources.
- Directory link icons
New SMA posts link to company profiles with an information icon as a reminder of the background information and news archive available in the directory. With its archive of more than four years of news posts, SMA is an easy-to-navigate history of what companies in this industry have done, and the directory entries are the easiest path to that history.
