LeadSift Raises $500K for Growth

LeadSift announced that it has received $500,000 in financing from OMERS Ventures for product development, sales and marketing and hiring. The company's lead-generation platform for social media is currently in beta testing.

LeadSift became a partner in the Salesforce Insights ecosystem in October.

Brand Embassy announced that it has acquired Beepl and will integrate Beepl's semantic technology into its platform. Brand Embassy specializes in monitoring social media for customer complaints.

SocialsurveyorSocial Surveyor announced the launch of its social media management platform. The company is offering free use of the product in exchange for feedback from testers.

DataSift announced a resyndication partnership with bitly that will allow DataSift to combine clickstream data with social media content.

Gnip and Hottolink announced a partnership to serve Twitter data in Japan. As a result of the agreement, Hottolink will gain access to Gnip's Twitter products, and Gnip will use Hottolink's technology and expertise to improve its service to Japan.

New Papers, 13 November 2012

DataSift announced that it has received $15 million in Series B funding led by Scale Venture Partners. The round also included previous investors GRP Partners and IA Ventures, and new investors Northgate Capital and Daher Capital.

DataSift says it has almost 300 customers, up from 200 in the past three months.

Attensity Packages Analytics for NPI

Attensity announced its New Product Introduction solution, a package of social media analysis capabilities tailored to the product launch process. The company plans similar packages for customer care, brand, campaign, and competitive analytics.

Nielsen and NM Incite announced the acquisition of SocialGuide, the developer of a platform for analyzing and engaging television-related conversations in Twitter. The companies plan to integrate SocialGuide into NM Incite and focus on quantifying the relationship between social TV and TV ratings for advertising and research.

Eptica announced that it has acquired Lingway. The company plans to use Lingway's natural language search in its centralized customer interaction platform, and Lingway's sentiment analysis in its social media interaction suite. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Crisisvu demoCrisisVu announced the launch of its real-time social media monitoring and visualization platform with a live demo based on today's US presidential election.

The tool uses keyword queries to feed a constantly updating topic map that highlights new and trending topics. Clicking on the topics filters the list of individual tweets, which is also prioritized by a metric that combines influence and reach.

CrisisVu focuses on Twitter initially, but the company says it can integrate with other sources to meet client needs.
