NetBase announced a new investment round of $18.1 million to fund international expansion and continued execution. Thomvest Ventures, Altos Ventures, Tran Ventures, and others participated in the round.

Thismoment announced that it has received $22 million in its series C funding round, led by Trident Capital. Thismoment entered the SMA market with its February 2012 acquisition of the Brand Monitor product from Position2.

Syncapse Acquires Clickable

Syncapse announced an agreement to acquire Clickable, adding social and search advertising management to its social media management platform.

Less than two weeks after announcing its deal with Vitrue, Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL) announced that it is acquiring Collective Intellect. Terms of the deal, which is expected to close in the second half, were not disclosed.

Oracle bought RightNow Technologies, a customer-experience software company with social media monitoring capabilities, in October 2011.

Brandtology launched 1-Social, a new platform that adds engagement and asset management modules to the company's existing social media analysis capabilities.

Salesforce.com announced that it has agreed to acquire Buddy Media for approximately $689 million in cash and equity. The Buddy Media platform will be combined with the previously acquired Radian6 platform as the Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
