E.Life launched e.lifeMonitor, a free SMA app for the iPad. The initial release monitors Twitter; support for Facebook and other networks is planned. The company says it will release the tool for other tablet operating systems soon.

The board of Alterian (LON: ALN) recommended the acceptance of an all-cash acquisition offer by SDL (LON: SDL), valued at around £68.4 million. NetBase announced a global reseller agreement with the enterprise software giant SAP (NYSE: SAP), which will offer the NetBase platform as SAP Social Media Analytics by NetBase.
