iMente has released an iPhone app for users of their online media monitoring platform. The new app shows the client's latest results and provides a set of filters for narrowing the list.

Exvisu Becomes Nexalogy Environics

Exvisu has joined the Environics Group and changed its name to Nexalogy Environics. The Montreal-based company specializes in social media analysis as a set of research and consulting services.

Visible Technologies announced that the company has received $22 million in new funding. The round was led by Investor Growth Capital, with participation by existing investors Centurion Holdings, Ignition Partners, In-Q-Tel and WPP.

New Papers, 12 January 2010

Recently released research and white papers:

sentimetrix_db.gifSentiMetrix has launched its SentiGrade dashboard in an initial free version. Focused exclusively on sentiment analysis, the company uses a 100-point scoring system instead of the more common polarity score, and the underlying technology can analyze content in nine languages. The company plans to add more features as premium services later this year.

Founded to commercialize the OASYS sentiment analysis technology developed at the University of Maryland's Institute for Advanced Computer Sciences, SentiMetrix also offers sentiment analysis as a data service, which customers can integrate with their own tools and data.

Jive Acquires Filtrbox

Jive Software has acquired Filtrbox. The company plans to incorporate Filtrbox's SMA capabilities into its Jive Market Engagement Solution, which currently uses the Radian6 platform. Filtrbox's G2 product will also continue to be offered separately.

Conversition Launches Evolisten

Conversition Strategies has released its flagship SMA product, evolisten. The company describes evolisten as "a suite of products... to provide brand equity, usage and attitude, segmentation, ad and campaign tracking, and customer experience research needs." Founded by Ipsos alumnae as a social media research provider, Conversition has also developed TweetFeel, a Twitter search engine with sentiment analysis, and MatterMeter, which encourages visitors to share their opinions on why something (or someone) matters, or doesn't.
