Visible Technologies updated its product line today with a new name for its enterprise SMA platform and a new offer for smaller clients and workgroups that don't need the enterprise features. The truCAST name now applies to the entire product suite, and the enterprise platform is renamed truVOICE. A new logo and web site round out the rebranding exercise.
The company's new truPULSE product is an RSS-based SMA platform that provides the expected monitoring, alerting and analysis features, minus its big brother's automated sentiment analysis and advanced workflow management features. Visible expects the new product to appeal to both smaller clients and groups within large enterprise that work in isolation from cross-enterprise processes.
UberVU launched its Search API, part of the ContextVoice suite of APIs, which support social media analysis platforms with social media content collection. The new service combines blog search with related comments from various social media sites; the company calls the result "conversational search." In addition to search, the service provides filtering by "hotness," which is based on the volume of recent comment activity. via ReadWriteStart
