Sysomos launched two SMA tools today. The company, which started in 2005 as a research project at the University of Toronto, had been in testing with clients since September 2008.
Media Analysis Platform (MAP) is the company's flagship product, supporting unlimited queries and extensive analytical options for the hands-on analyst. Heartbeat is the workgroup SMA tool for routine monitoring and measurement. Pricing for the two products reflects the different use cases: MAP is priced on a per-user basis and supports unlimited queries. Heartbeat monitors up to five competitors and ten topics, with fixed pricing for unlimited users.
